July 5th snapshot

With July 5th snapshot and gcc-2.95 sometimes I see an error
in bash window (error pi_signal 1000 killed -- something like that).
It appears only when I am compiling a very large project like Xfree86.

Also sometimes when I hit control+c to kill the make, my Makefiles
get corrupted, and I had to restart from scratch, i.e. make World
to regenrate dependencies and Makefiles.
