X programs compile, but crash

I finally got it!

The problem was that gdb-20000610.tar.gz has a directory /usr/include/X11
within it. Xlib.h got included from this directory and seems to be
incompatible with the rest. I removed the directory and now everything works
fine.

XFree compiles without problems from the new tarballs.
