That could be termcap file in your /etc.

John xterm cannot be compiled using MingW32 or MSVC because it requires ttys.
I am patching X11 code for MingW32. It is a lot more work to patch X11 code for
MingW32 then for Cygwin. I would in the near future provide XGGI binaries
compiled with MSVC and also Cygwin.
