Questions regarding installing XFree86

Dear Sir,

Many thanks to contribute XFree86.  I found your web site and tried to
install XFree86 on my cgywin on Windows 2000.  However, I am not clear of
"libcrypt < ftp://sourceware.cygnus.com/pub/cygwin/xfree/ > to compile xdm
security features.".  Is 'libcrypt' a program or a file named libcrypt?  I
could not find anything with libcrypt in the ftp site.  Moreover, what
program should I use to expend *.bz2 type of file?  Is that just a Tar file,
a Zip file, or something else.  Thanks.
