Installs on Windows ME too?

I've recently installed this x-server successfully on Windows NT, and
now I've tried to do the same thing on a notebook computer running
Windows ME.

However, I only get the usual gray screen, an X-shaped cursor (which I
can't move), and then nothing else happens.

Has anyone successfully installed and run and this software on Windows
ME?  If so, was it on a notebook computer (I'm wordering if there may be
special installation issues for notebooks)?
