XKeysymDB environment properly set; still not getting keyboard responsiveness

This may have been the problem.  I'm not sure if I used
tar or winzip to install the .tar.gz files.  Thus, I re-
installed everything using only tar.  Now XWin (or my
X/Motif application) properly responds to keyboard/mouse events.

> That means your xkesymdb is in DOS format.  It should be
> in UNIX format.  Did you untar using Winzip or a Windows
