well I was way off on that one .. 0.0.0.0 still shows up also a strange note I can telnet too port 6000 (127.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.100, my ip) and I do establish a connection .. is there maybe a setting somewhere that specifies what port the x server is listening on that maybe is or is not written corectly or gone for some strange reason ..? -jeremy
