pseudocolor

Hi,

is pseudocolor reserved for 8-bits (in this case, I guess it's bad for me
because I've just read that 8 bits is not functionnal), or could it be used in
16/24/32 bits ?

The server is TrueColor, but what about DirectColor and PseudoColor ?

Could someone explain the differences, and if it could be put in XWin ?
