1.3.1 cygwin release

When I installed the new 1.3.1 cygwin release today, I couldn't run the
xfree86 server since it complained that I was using the wrong cygwin1.dll.
This makes sense since it's new, so a) is there an "easy" tweak or b) can I
recompile the xfree86 distribution (4.0.3) with the new cygwin1.dll or c)
shall I wait until a new version of xfree86 comes out that's compatible?
