cygwin/xfree86 window size and stalling problem

Dear Harold,
First of all, I really thank you very much for your prompt reply.
I never had 'Cygwin' before and I downloaded the latest version of Cygwin
which is DLL version 1.3.1 I guess. Does that cause a problem?
