Suhaib,
I had the same exact problem installing on Windows 2000 SP2. Only other
variable with my installation is that the Cygwin installation is on a Samba
drive.
Once I read Luc's message, I got it working - big thanks to the
contributors. Maybe it can eventually replace our Hummingbird Exceed
licenses - that would save a chunk of change I'm sure!
