You use the modmap from your linux box. Unfortunately, most distributions 
use only xkb and do not setup the system to use modmaps too. 
The easyest way is to copy the modmap from www.gotti.org to ~/.Xmodmap 
on your linuxbox.
If the modmap is not automaticly loaded, please try loading it manually
to see, if the modmap works. If it does please check the files .xinitrc
and .xsession. In one of these files (or files called from these) should 
be a line like this:
if [ -f ~/.Xmodmap ]; then xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap; fi
If not, please add it to .xinitrc (but before the windowmanager is called) 
This should enable the modmap everytime you login using xdmcp.
