P.S. As a side note, I was able to compile libaudiofile and esound; I was
also able to send XMMS's output from my Gnome machine to my Cygwin machine.
Be aware that both sides of a network audio connection must use the same
version of libaudiofile and esound.  Mixing versions across the network does
not work.
