Question about configuration

Hi,

I just found and installed cygwin and xfree86 into my windows nt 4.0. I
can open startxwin, and I tried to log on some unix and linux servers. But
the problem is that I still cannot open emacs or matlab from those
remote servers.

so my question is: Can I open those xwindows applications running in
remote servers in my xfree86 window? If yes, how to configue it or what
maybe the problem with my installation?
