OK all, I found a suggestion to try and run it and send errors to the list on
the web sight, so here we go.
I installed on Win98 Cygwin then the Xfree86, but I can't get the X server
started. From a command window when I run startxwin.bat I get the following:
X connection to 127.0.0.1:0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
C:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin>twm
/USR/X11R6/BIN/TWM: unable to open display "127.0.0.1:0.0"
C:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin>
I did find a reference to that error message in teh email archive, but it
suggested that I delete all cygwin1.dll files and get the newest version and
put it in the /bin directory. At the same mirror I downloaded everything else
from, I didn't find just an updated (or any version) of cygwin1.dll.
thanks in advance.
