Here's a link to my most recent modification of your build.sh for packaging
Cygwin/XFree86.  You might want to take a look at it... I think it's pretty
interesting.

I've been thinking that maybe a Makefile version of this might be more
useful, as it would prevent the rebuilding of packages that haven't had
their XFree86 package updated.

What are your thoughts on that one?
