I have the same problem using my SGI X-server with mozilla/netscape and
also with a linux box that lacks a sound card. This suggests that
cygwin-xfree is a faithful simulation of "real" X-servers. I suspect the
problem is that the X audio extension is missing and or not supported by
shockwave, and that shockwave doesn't handle missing audio support
properly.
