Xfree and DECwindows

Dave,
Some simple questions first, since you didn't mention them.
1) Did you run 'xhost %my_vms_hostname_or_ip_address' in a Cygwin/XFree86
xterm before launching an app on VMS?
2) Have you tried running XWin.exe with the -ac (no authentication) parameter
as a test?
That should give you a start.
