try to run astrolog X version

i offer some astrological sourcecode at

it is quite crappy maybe but works for me on linux.
i would like to run also a cygwin-xfree86 version on windows.
now i managed to compile the code using mingw-gcc on Windows 2000
(it is file xastrolog.exe in al542f-win.zip) but it crashes
in/after XOpenDisplay as i can see from gdb.
if i hardcode the display name in XOpenDisplay, it still crashes , gdb
says in the last function of all object files,
even this cannot be possible from the logic of the code.

i tried cygwin 1.3.9-1 and cygwin 1.3.10-1 binary release as mentioned
in FAQ. I downloaded the Cygwin/Xfree86 release on Mar 5

it is also not the X server because it crashes also with reflection as
the xserver or display on a unix box.
now if anyone on this list would like to check his horoscope with cygwin
i would be happy if he/she told me how he/she
did it.
