gnome-libs-1.4.1.1 configure: error please help

Hello

I tried to compile on cygwin gnome-libs I got a configure: error
This is the error

checking for __db185_open in -ldb-3... no
configure: error: Your db library is missing db 1.85 compatibility 
mode

I did  install db-4.0.14 and I am still getting this configure: error

If any one could tell me what to modify in the configure, or what to 
fix that I should be able to compile it
