No keyboard with XFree86 4.0.3

There were several people who have upgraded to 4.3.0 too and have not reported
these problems.

There were minor updates to some XFree packages. Maybe installing them or 
reinstalling all XFree packages fixes the problems.

Also the mount options may be interesting. Is /etc or /usr/X11R6/lib/X11 mounted
in textmode?
