Change Window Manager

OK, I'm starting to feel like an ignoramus.

I tried reloading Cygwin the other day and as a first step, uninstalled 
everything cygwin,
which included a KDE version.

After reinstalling cygwin, I no longer have a KDE for windows.

I've searched all over and perhaps I'm looking for the wrong thing????

How do I get back to a state to try Greg's suggestion below...
