I've got these lines in my .fvwm2rc
MenuStyle Black Grey LightGrey \
-adobe-utopia-medium-r-normal-*-14-*-100-100-p-90-iso8859-1 fvwm
I belive you got a similar line, but with a space or an other whitespace
character after the backslash. You'll have to find that space.
in vim: (type as seen here)
:s/\\\s*$/\\/
This should replace the extra characters
