Alt key isn't Meta in Cygwin xterm (Norwegian keyboard)

Hm, xev reports Alt+b but the bash gets â. Must be a problem with xterm.
-> Press Control and click into the xterm window. You'll get a menu.
Select "Meta Sends Escape" from the menu.

This should work.
