minimize emacs

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to minimize GNU Emacs running
under Cygwin/XFree86 with the keyboard?  I don't really need Emacs'
M-Spc command, so should I just undefine it?  Will that cause the
keystroke to be passed to Windows?
