I have the following without configuring anything:

(==) winConfigKeyboard - Layout: "00010416"
(EE) No primary keyboard configured

Rules = "xfree86" Model = "pc101" Layout = "us" Variant = "(null)" Options = "(null)"

I'm not sure if it should have printed pc105 and pt...

But using the XF86Config:

(==) winConfigKeyboard - Layout: "00010416"
(**) Using keyboard "Keyboard1" as primary keyboard
(**) Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
(**) XKB: rules: "xfree86"
(**) Option "XkbModel" "abnt2"
(**) XKB: model: "abnt2"
