Hm. It seems the dependencies are broken for you.

Can you check this is in hw/xwin/Makefile?

# ----------------------------------------------------------------------
# dependencies generated by makedepend

sinclude Makefile.dep

if this is present then just do "make depend" and a simple make should
compile even files where only includes were changed.
