xp sp1 connecting to solaris 9 (intel)

Copying win32 to X11, and copying X11 to Win32
XDMCP with GTK app - works fine
XDMCP with Motif app - works fine
XDMCP with xedit - works fine

X11 over SSH with GTK app - works fine
X11 over SSH with xedit - works fine

Can't seem to get Motif apps to work over ssh forwarding.
