Application working in multiroot environment but not in single root

But you are running a window manager like twm? Either on the sun or on cygwin.
The main difference between singlewindow and multiwindow mode is the integrated
window manager which maps the X11 windows to win32 windows. In singlewindow
mode there is no window manager started automaticly.
