mouse pointer disappear

This is a random problem.
When using x window system with multiple windows (remotly displayed from a
debian system), sometimes, the mouse pointer disappear from all Xwindow
windows.
I need to kill all cygwin programs in order to start again with the mouse
pointer.

note: the widows os run over a vmware machine, which run over a debian system.
