1.5.12: using cygwin/x as non-administrator doesn't work (fwd)

Hi,

I can only use cygwin/X as an administrator. (see below)Now I saw that
all the files in /usr/X11R6/bin are only executable for members of the
group "Users " . But when I look into /etc/passwd I see that no one is
member of "Users" just of "None" (513) .I suspect that this is due to
having turned off the "Server" service in XP. Can anyone confirm this?
And suggest how to correct this and make x work without reinstalling
Cygwin? (l already instilled and compiled a lot there, or Can I reinstall
Cygwin without loosing all the programs?)

I have the problem described below, and made /tmp writable and readable and
executable for all but I still have this problem. Please advise. I also don't
understand how to check inet .

  thanks in advance,
  Gil

It should at least try inet too.

You can allow other users to write to /tmp/.X11-unix, or have a /tmp directory
for
every user where the user can create files at will.
