Some diffs to try out:

Nice patch for windialogs.c icon issues.
Removed hard-wired references to "/tmp/XWin.log"

Still working on icons a bit.

Question: How much should I worry about pre-WinXP compatibility? WinXP 
accepts ARGB icons. I think Win95/NT/2000 do not. Maybe just try an ARGB 
icon patch and see if someone can test it?
