xwinwm issues

Hi,

I've a couple of questions about xwinwm, the external window manager
replacement of the internal manager:

1) when using xwinwm window manager, new windows will not get the
focus by default. Is there a setting or option for this? Or should I
check the source and recompile xwinwm?

2) I noticed that if there are normal xterm windows open for about 1
to 2 hours, the xwinwm manager just suddenly quits! Is this manager
supported by cygwin?

I have all the newest packages installed, so this shouldn't be a
problem of using old versions of something.
