Swedish keyboard mapping?

Hello!
I just made what I thought was a good Cygwin/X installation, but 
apparently not... I can't get the Swedish keyboard mapping to work.

So, what I'm asking for here is a quick guide/explanation to
  1. What do I have to install to get a *minimal* X server installation?
  2. How do I configure it to use a 105 key Swedish keyboard?
