Cygwin and vista 64 bit

I don't run Vista 64 (nor any 64-bit Windows O/S at the moment) so I
wouldn't be able to do any in depth "check"ing.

If disabling doesn't work for you, try uninstalling.  Many of these
BLODA hook right into the network stack and don't "unhook" themselves
unless you unload them.  So buggy app is still buggy until it's gone.
I recommend investigating that avenue.  If you're still having problems
after that, I suggest reading and following the problem reporting
guidelines outlined here:

*Attached* cygcheck output may provide some clues (if it doesn't for you
once you see it).
