X Window error

Hello,

i just installed Cygwin:

i installed the gcc package, nedit, x11, and ddd debugger packages. but
for some reason every time i run the Startxwin.bat i get continuous "=="
signs typed automatically. i am not able to type any commands in.

why is this happening?
