I think these are non-issues.  Markus Kuhn's updated fonts have been 
incorporated into X.Org for some time, so unicode fonts with an extended range 
of glyphs are installed on your hard disk right now :-)

Or at least, 'xlsfonts  | grep iso10646-1' shows a number of fonts for me.
