FW: Patch to fix cygwin-xfree+gcc-2.95.3+autoconf problem

My mouse problems were due to my mouse getting flaky at exactly the same
time as I tested the removal of the __STDC__ flag. The mouse has since
completely given up the ghost, so I know that no problems were caused by
removing the __STDC__ flag.
