You you use XDMCP from Linux with Xnest?

What dose the kdm errorlog state? Is there any session trace in 
~/.xsession-errors? Can you trace the .xinitrc or .xsession by adding 
a "set -x" at the beginning and check the output in ~/.xsession-errors
