x-windows opening up too large

Usage of the -geometry flag looks like the following:

xterm -geometry 80x35+100+100

This creates an xterm which is 80 columns wide and 35 rows tall positioned 
100 pixels down from the top edge and 100 in from the left edge of the 
screen.

One thing you can do is manually size and position the client window the way 
you like it, then run "xwininfo".  It will give you the corresponding 
-geometry value to use in the future.
