can my X-WIN 32 be causing my server shutdown prob?

Hi,

I removed 4.2.0 and installed 4.1.0 and I still have
the same problems.  I have X-WIN 32 installed on my
comp and it occurred to me that this could be causing
some conflict.  

Anyone got an idea?
