altGR key problem with windows XP

Andreas and Harold,

I still have the same trouble but I am very busy at work and didn't have 
sufficient time to try Cygwin on another XP workstation the last week. 
Andreas seem to locate the bug and found that is related to the way 
Windows XP send keystrokes so I think it is not related to the hardware.
Let me know if I can help you trying on other workstations...
I hope Harold could apply this diff patch on the next cygwin/xfree 
release. Thanks a lot for all foreign user of cygwin/xfree!
